Meet and Greet
Meet and Greet is an event on campus where students and families have the opportunity to meet their teachers and other families.
- 4th-8th grade students and families on Friday, July 30th, from 5:00-7:00 PM
- Preschool-3rd grade students and families on Monday, August 2nd, from 5:00-7:00 PM
A large board will be located near the front entrance of the school for all K-5 students and families to see their teacher(s) and room number. Kindergarten and 1st grade students will be assigned one teacher, 2nd – 5th grade students will have three grade level teachers, and 6th-8th grade students will have multiple teachers who will be listed on their daily schedule. Middle school student schedules are to be picked up in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) on the evening of Meet and Greet. If middle school students are unable to attend, please email Rachel Robertson <firstname.lastname@example.org> for an emailed copy.
A pizza and hotdog dinner will be provided, free of charge, for students and families attending Meet and Greet. There are no formal presentations being made by teachers on these designated dates. Families are encouraged to explore the campus and classrooms, eat dinner, and meet teachers and other families at their own pace.
Calendar Days to Note
Every Friday during the school year is a “Dress Down Day,” where students can wear an outfit of their choice for $1.00. All monies raised will be used for campus improvement initiatives. As of July 1st, TCDS no longer accepts cash payments. Payment for Dress Down Day is to be made here. For those who are looking to make one dress down payment for the whole year, there are thirty-two available Fridays for students to dress down.
Every Wednesday throughout the school year, starting August 4th, is a half-day. K-3rd graders are released at 11:30, and 4th-8th graders are released at 12:00 each Wednesday. A Wednesday-only Champion Care option is available for $5/week for an entire family. If you need to utilize Champion Care at anytime, you’ll need to complete a registration packet here.
In order to provide a more quality user experience, Class Dojo will be shut down for maintenance starting July 19th. All parents will be invited back to Class Dojo the week of August 2nd. In the meantime, all TCDS parent communication will be sent via email and updated on this page.
TCDS Growth Plan
TCDS 2nd-8th grade students have three options when it comes to use of computers at school. Computers are optional for Kindergarten and 1st grade students.
Option 1: Purchase a Chromebook from TCDS
Chromebooks are available for purchase, here.
Payment plans for your Chromebook purchase may be available. Please email our CFO, Lauren Mosgrove: email@example.com .
Option 2: Purchase a Chromebook from an outside vendor
Chromebooks are different from laptops. Confused? Read this article that explains the differences.
Check vendors such as Best Buy, Amazon, Dell, Walmart, Samsung, or Office Depot, to name a few. If you choose this option it is recommended that you act fast as inventory is limited due to high demand.
- Start looking NOW because many sites have limited stock and a lot of devices on backorder!
- Chromebooks with the new USB-C charging port seem to be more robust than those with older charging ports.
- The TCDS IT department has had good experiences with Lenovo and Acer brands.
- Some reviews that may be helpful:
Option 3: Bring your own laptop/Chromebook
Students may use their own Chromebooks or laptops; either option must meet the requirements as stated in the device policy, found here.
Please contact Rachel Robertson, our program coordinator, if you have any further questions <firstname.lastname@example.org>.
Uniform Bottoms: The length of shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers must be near the mid-thigh, and be modest in appearance. Leggings can be worn under uniform bottoms as socks or tights. All grade levels have the choice to wear navy blue or khaki bottoms.

Uniform Top: Shirt colors are designated by grade level and must have a collar. The student uniform shirt must be a solid color and cannot have any monograms, stripes, logos (except the TCDS logo) or other markings on them.

|Preschool and Pre-Kinder||Navy Blue|
|Kindergarten and First Grade||Navy Blue|
