Who We Are
Tucson Country Day School is an educational institution comprised of a K-8 public charter school, private preschool and prekindergarten program, and Camp Adventure, a summer camp for preschool through eighth grade students. TCDS has been serving students in the Tucson community for over 50 years on an outdoor campus located on eleven beautiful acres overlooking the Catalina mountain range. The aim of TCDS is to provide the opportunity for all students to achieve academic and social excellence by putting the school’s vision and mission statements into practice each day:
At Tucson Country Day School, we know that new and innovative ideas, systems, and services are changing the way society functions. Students of today will be responsible for creating and implementing solutions to the highly complex problems of tomorrow. Our learning environment reflects these realities as students are given the opportunity to make discoveries, create solutions, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.
Personalizing the process
We believe an important goal is to promote the excitement of learning and the desire to come to school. Through positive reinforcement, each child will begin to see themselves as a successful learner and as a person of value in our society. We know that every child has a unique combination of talents, skills, and ideas. We provide a personalized environment for each student to realize and develop these skills and abilities.
Academic and Social Excellence
At Tucson Country Day School, we put equal emphasis on facilitating academic and social excellence in every Champion. This approach to developing the whole child prepares each student to lead a successful life, now and in the future.
Tucson Country Day School is led by a team of administrators and staff with a passion for learning and leading by example.
Registration for Camp Adventure 2022 will open to TCDS families on March 28th and will be available to the general public on April 11th!
Chances are you might know someone who has attended TCDS or Camp Adventure! After all, these programs have been a Tucson staple for over 50 years.
